My absolute favorite sushi place around! I lived in japan for 6 years and this feels exactly like some of the tiny little sushi places you’d happen across in Tokyo. You can sit at the bar and watch as he hand rolls your sushi. It’s a small place but the service is excellent and food is delicious!

The spicy crawfish was actually spicy but not too spicy. Everything fresh and delicious. Was quite a wait as there is only one sushi chef. Friendly atmosphere, lots of families as well as single diners at the bar. Will come again.

Me and my friend came here on accident and i’ve never been more happy with a communication mistake. we both got the sushi & sashimi dinner and it was AMAZING! Our server was so kind, the salmon was SO buttery, and white tuna was out of this world. the sushi chef was smiling the entire time. the music and atmosphere was fantastic!! 100% will return 10/10 would recommend!

Best sushi place in Newport News. Love eating here. Does take some time to get your food but only because it’s more of a smaller place. If you’re willing to wait a bit, the sushi is very much worth it. Every worker is very nice, seems like a family business. I got the SP rainbow roll, tuna/salmon roll, SP dragon roll, and volcano roll.

This place is probably the best sushi place that I ever have in the state. The sushi and sashimi look very well made and delicate. The taste is fresh and delicious. Every bite its just feel like they put their heart in it, very thoughtful and beautiful. I mean look at that thick salmon .They deserved 5 stars in every way! I would recommend this place

The place is authentic and delicious. We have enjoyed the Newport News Roll, Philadelphia roll, California Roll, Dragon roll, bulgogi roll, and the lobster roll. We recommend the shrimp dumplings, both steamed and fried. The sushi and sashimi are prepared in the main dining, where all fried food and dinners are behind. Evertime u have visited, there's only one lady who does all service. She takes orders and delivers food. She answers calls and packs to go, and she cleans the tables. It seems to be a family affair. We recommend trying this small, but totally homemade, delicious, and inviting restaurant. Update: We tried the spicy salmon today, and it was delicious. There was a smoky flavor with the perfect amount of heat to still taste the salmon. The restaurant was busy with 30 minutes of opening. There was a wait but not too long for the food. I wouldn't suggest going if you have a half-hour lunch. We had another great experience.
